Gettin ranked on search engines is hard. One of my clients (californiatire.com) is having trouble because their name is rather generic. Despite the fact that they have THE NAME Californiatire. Frustrating I tell you. I am doing everything I can to get them googled, short of paying the big $$$ of course.
I am also writing some new code for a content management system. The new editor kicks SO much ass over my old one. The whole thing will be (has to be) GPLified.

The MP3 Player has been causing me no end of grief. The stupid thing refuses to acknowledge it's own printer port, possibly because it is blown, or incompatible with the kernel. Lame huh? This of course prevents me from using it to run the LCD display for the vehicle dash. I will be forced now to build a serial interface for the LCD using a PIC or something, but this stupid thing was supposed to be a fun quick project, not a multi week ordeal.
I hope that my motorcycle project (if and when it ever gets off the ground) is not this much of a hassle.

I have finally gotten off my ass and accomplished some things. First of all, the MP3 Player has made some progress. I have packaged the whole thing, including power supply, and am currently using it to listen to an old Stabbing Westward compliation I found. This kind of progress makes me happy.
Next, Helen is mobile again. YAY! (That should have been the first entry).
Finally, I got an old Honda 55 motorbike from my Dad. We found it under the deck at their house while we were tearing the old deck off in order to rennovate. There is a license plate on it from 1964, and a 63-64 UBC parking pass on it. Stay tuned for some new evil plans once I have the MP3 Player finished.
