This article hits it right on the head. Who would have thought that PayPal would end up being the easiest to use payment method. I got an account years ago, and I always use it whenever possible.
I just wish that the people shipping to me had better integration, so that they wouldn't ask me a bunch of reduntant questions despite all the information already being entered via Paypal.
Really, at this point I think that eBay needs to buy/start their own credit card company. Maybe buy discover. That way, I could have a card that just WORKS, once, and never has to have multiple data entry sessions. Just a simple SOAP API that gives the information back to the vendor once the buyer authenticates. PASSPORT is a non-starter just because of, well, all of it's problems.
Maybe this problem won't go away until credit cards are dead, and replaced with a more secure technology, which mitigates the whole easily duplicated magnetic stripe.
