I am posting this article from my brand-new Athlon64-3400 workstation!
I am so l33t! It has Western Digital Raptor WD740GD goodness, as well as a gig of RAM and a screaming video card. Now I know what you are all thinking... 64 bit computers are only good if you have 64 bit apps. My response?
When you run Gentoo they are ALL 64 bit apps. This thing compiles at least twice as fast as my Intel P4 2.8C did, and disk access is off the scale.
