How's the live stream thing going?
I was able to get the last stable ffmpeg/server working, but the ffmpeg side suffers, not being CVS. It did however work and work fairly well.
I managed it on a 200 mgz machine no less, but could only encode at 10fps, lacking hoarspower to push the codecs any higher.
hint: Slackware 9.1 and no X running, lest it falls down badly.
Let me know where you went with your efforts and if you've learned more. I did determine that the cvs ffserver is not the problem, but rather the ffm output of the ffmpeg that feeds the server.
